Is a plastic toothpick harder to break than a normal, wooden toothpick?

I'm doing a devise, and I've never really seen plastic toothpicks (except on ads).

The plastic toothpick in my swiss army knife is stuck in the knife! How can I get it out?

I've been carrying this cut for 20 years, and I've used the (same) toothpick the entire everything. Recently it's gotten stuck. I figure something must be jammed down in there, but I can't get the toothpick OUT in pronunciamento to clean it.
